PROGRESS IS MADE ON NATIONAL ROAD
Steam shovels have nearly completed the work of cutting six feet of ground off Jackson hill on the National road just west of Centerville, according to Howard Horton, county surveyor, who has charge of the improvement work on the road which has been in progress for the last year. Horton said that work on the National road would be entirely completed this summer. Concrete is being laid on the road at Pershing, and wjthin a few weeks the contractor will start laying concrete on other parts of the road which have not yet been completed. Last year eight m'iles of concrete was laid, and there is still about five and a half miles to go, exclusive of a mile and a half on which the state highway commission will stand a portion of the exepnse. Plans and specifications approved by the commission will be received by the county surveyor, it is thought, within a few days, and the contract can then be let.

The use of WRIGLEVS by the fighting men has created much comment across the water. Even before American soldiers and sailors landed, the British, Canadian and , French forces had adopted WRIGLEVS as their war-time sweetmeat. And now that Uncle Sam's stalwart boys are hitting the line, you'll find WRIGLEVS a very noticeable ally of the Allies. Keep them supplied. A box is easy to send 100 sticks 100 refreshments.
