sand soldiers from Camp Taylor will be in the crowd that will see the running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs here Saturday. They will march to the track from camp and watch the race. The Derby field probably will be made up of twelve crack 3-year-olds. On a fast track. War Cloud, whowo rked the Derby route of a mile and a half in 2:05 the other day, the fastest time ever made in a trial for the Derby, will be the favorite. Green Township Leads in Number of Thrift Stamps Owned by Pupils

Green township ranks highest with a percentage of 84. in the number of thrift stomps owned by pupils of the public schools, and Centerville ranks highest with a percentage of 43 in the number of war savings stamps according to a report of the sales in the various township schools, made public by Charles O. Williams, Wayne county superintendent of schools. Centerville also ranks highest in the average amount per pupil, the per capita average being $27.85, according to the report.
