SUNDAY SCHOOLS OF WAYNE COUNTY WILL BUY BOND

The Wayne county Sunday schools, which a few weets ago held Liberty Loan rallies, special speakers being assigned to every school in the county, are just now hoping to add to the good work already done by purchasing a $1,000 Liberty Loan bond which is to be given to the state association as representing the pledge of Wayne county to the "Forward Work" of the State Sunday School association. The Sunday schools in addition to helping materially the Liberty Loan campaign by the purchase of such a bond, will also be assisting the work of the state organization very mate- , rially. E. P. Jones, of Milton, president of the Wayne county association of Sunday schools has addressed a letter to all Sunday school superinI n m in TfTairnA mmtT mnlrlnar nn

Many of ' the schools responded with more than i their apportionment of ten cents per ; their enrollment, some did not quite i mo ira it Several of the sunerinten-

the county convention last year tnax their schools would be In line and pay their portion. As yet no payment has been made by any of these schools. "What are we going to dp about it? T nnva mmv thla nronosition to make to

try to that of our obligation to our Christ and see our way clear to meet

this call. "The State association will accept a Liberty Bond of $1,000 as fulllling our pledge. We have nearly $500 of this amount on hand. Will you not make your payment of this pledge at once bo wo can buy this bond. Don't you think this will put the Sunday schools of Wayne county in a better light before all the people? You have placed service flags in your ' schools. Don't you think the boys will think more of us if we put our dollars on a bond. I'll me ashamed to look a boy from the Sunday schools of Wayne county in the face unless we can go on record of having been back of nira to the limit of our ability. "Now let us not let another week go by without making this effort. Vote It out of your Sunday-school treasury or else appoint a committee to solicit the amount. Send the amount to W. L. Parkins, Treasurer, Milton, Ind. This $1,000 buys a Liberty bond and the interest of which helps to carry on the Forward work of the Sunday schools, and not for one year, but for all the years to come. "If your Sunday school has made its full payment this concerns you only in telling you of the Liberty bond plan. "If the killing of the Primary department of your school, the outraging of the girls in your Intermediate department, the shelling of your general and maternity hospitals, the destructlon of your own church building is what is needed to make you see the call of the hour but surely this is not the case I know it is not. If hope and pray you will put forth every effort to make this a victory for the Sunday schools of Wayne county. "Believe me yours for the cause of Christ. E. P. JONES."
