Come see it make a complete study of this battlefield then write a story describing the Battlefield for The Junior Palladium.
Conditions of Contest Write a descriptive story of the Miniature Battlefield displayed in the west window of Jenkins & Co, Story must not contain more than 350 words. Write on one side of paper only. Spell all words correctly. Write as neatly as possible. Address your story to Aunt Molly, Care the Junior Palladium. No story will be accepted after Monday April, 22nd. The name of the prize winners and their stories will be published in complete form in the April 27th issue of The Junior Palladium. Palladium carrier boys not permitted to enter this contest. Absolutely no cost to you in any way. Just write a real good story describing the Battlefield. Read the Junior Palladium Saturday, April 20th for more details.
Diamond Ring valued at $10.00 will be given to the Girl who submits the best story. Gold Watch valued at $12.00 will be given to the boy who submits the best story.
For GRADE SCHOOL CHILDREN Only High school students are not permitted to enter this Contest as we want to give the Boys and Girls of the grade schools a chance to demonstrate their writing ability. Children in the 1st to and including the 8th grade are permitted to enter the contest. Jenkins & Co. are glad indeed to give this beautiful Diamond Ring and Handsome Gold Watch to the Boy and Girl writing the best description of their Miniature Battlefield and they feel positive that there nof a boy or girl in this city but would be proud to own a Diamond or Watch from their establishment. Now Boys and Girls start right in and get busy-Win that Diamond and Watch, you have just as good a chance as the other fellow The names of the Judges will be announced later.
