SOCIAL SERVICE DIRECTORS MEET

Th regular monthly meeting of the board of director ot the Social Service buream waa held at the headquarters of the bureau in the courthouse Thurs day. : Howard A. Dill, president, presided. The general secretary reported that the case referred to the bureau dur tag the last month numbered 110, representing 8t different families. Of the total number of cases 64 were referred , by the township trustee, is Dy scnoois, 10 by other agencies or individuals ; 28 applied directly to the bureau. During the month 168 visits were made to and on behalf ot families. Ninety Interviews were held with applicants for relief at the bureau, 14 weqe bad with persons seeking advice, etc., and 43 office Interviews and tele phone calls were had with consultants. Thrift Stamp Workers to Aid Liberty Loan Drive A meeting at the Chester Methodist church. Friday evening, will close the thrift stamp campaign in the county until after the close of the Liberty loan campaign. County Chairman Joseph Mills has placed his organisation of thrift stamp workers at the disposal of the Liberty loan committee, and at the close of the Loan campaign they will be used in putting over the Red Cross campaign. In less than two months more than 125 first class thrift stamp agencies outside the postofflce and banks have been established in the county, and the quota up to the first of June has already been subscribed. SO Women Will Attend Conservation Luncheon About 50 women of the county have sent their names to Miss Nina Short and Mrs. A. W. Roach, accepting the invitation to attend the food conservation luncheon at the Y. M. C. A. Saturday noon. The luncheon is being given to women who attend the annual meeting of the Home Economics association here during the day. WILL MAINTAIN HOME LONDON, April 5.
