BRINGING UP
THAT I I w QUAKER QUINTET MEETS DEPAUW FRIDAY NIGHT The Earlham basketball veterans !ine-up against the DePauw aggregation at Greencastle, Friday night in :he last game of the season. The Quakers are in excellent shape. Hoach Mowe expects a hard and close fight but feels that the ability of the Quaker forwards will be far better than ever before. When the DePauw five played at '.be Coliseum it banded the Earlham basketball team a defeat through the ability of its tall center. Smith, to gain the ball after an Earlham forward had shot and missed. However, Carlisle, the chief pointsretter in the Earlham-DePauw game litre, was ineligible to play following; that game and now, without bis assistance the Earlham men should havo more of a show against the Methodists. The I. C. A. L. title is still hanging In the balance and, according to Earlham dopsters, should not be awarded until Franklin plays the Little Giants i return game on its dirt floor. They led that the Franklin five -would not anly buffer defeat but also would rome out with a much smaller end of the score than did the Earlham five. If Franklin does not play the Wahash five then the Quakers' right to the bunting is stronger than the Franklin aggregation's claims, according to the law of percentage. Earlham having played more I. C. A. L. games than the Franklin team. Coach John Thurber of Franklin I ases his claim to the I. C. A. L. penlant on the fact that Franklin has dropped only one I. C. A. L. game and '.hat was to Earlham, while Earlham lost a game to Franklin by eight points and one to Wabash. According to the dopsters the Wabash team has as much right to claim 'he title as Franklin. R. H. S. SCHEDULE. Friday a. m. 9:00, Richmond vs. Rushville, Thurman. Friday p. m. 8:30. Richmond vs. Milroy or St. Paul, Tburman. Saturday p. m. 2:00, Richmond vs. Liberty or Cambridge City, Thurman. ' 8:00, Richmond vs. Connersville. The Richmond high basketball aggregation, rooters and basketball fans are ready and waiting for the invasion of the visiting teams and the influx of basketball supporters which will follow their arrival Already many of the early teams scheduled to play have arrived and the high school students on the reception committee have been busy showing them their assigned places. Delegations are expetced to arrive in Richmond by railroad, motor busses, interurban lines and private cars and from any other facilities of travel. Rooters will be here from sixteen schools of the district which have a representative team entered in the tourney. This is three more schools than were represented last year. Fans are at work "figuring out the dope" on the teams entered. To dope the semi-final winners is difficult since some of the teams have never played here. Several strong teams are here and have arrived with the intention of taking the honor of taking part ir. the state tourney. Fifteen games are on schedule to be played Friday and Saturday, starting at 9 oclock Friday morning. Principal Bentley announced Wednesday that high school would hold session Friday morning, allowin gthe students out for the games Friday afternoon. Richmond Safest Bet. The Richmond five looms the

srongest and safest bet in the tourney. Richmond, to fulfill this forecast, must win from Rushville and Milroy in the primaries and then set back Liberty in the semi-finals, Saturday afternoon and with those three games out of the way probably will play Connersville in the final game Saturday night. However, the dope on the last game is cloudy. The Rushville game, the first contest, will be one of Richmonds hardest games. R. H. S. supporters believe, however, that when the curtain goes down on the final half of the first act of the tourney, the Richmond team will receive the bouquet, inasmuch as the Richmond five defeated the Rush county lads on the Coliseum floor last Friday night. As to the second game on the Richmond bill of fare, Richmond fans see no reason to fear either St. Paul or Milroy. Saturday afternoon at 2 oclock the Richmond five will be be given another test when it clashes with the down state basketball bunch from Liberty. Negro Quintet Loses to Indianapolis The Richmond negro basketball five was defeated by the Indianapolis Y. M. C. A. negro quintet Wednesday night at the Coliseum, by a 12-8 score. Both teams were in excellent shape and well trained but the experience of the Indianapolis five won the game, after a hard fight. Peters, center and Hazzard, forward divided the honors in point getting, MAGNESIA BATHS FOR INDIGESTION Doctor Recommends Them in Place of Drugs, Pepsin, Soda or Artificial Digestents. "Only those in constant touch with sufferers from indigestion and dyspepsia can fully realise the harm done by the improper use of artificial digestents or drugs like pepsin or soda pills and tablets in the treatment of stomach trouble," declares a well known physician. In fully nine cases out of ten digestive trouble is caused by an excess of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which sours and ferments the food, creating gas on the stomach and often causing intense pain or burning. The forcing of food from stomach to intestines with artificial dlgeutents in such a case is almost criminal folly as serious Intestinal indigestion may very easily follow. Instead the stomach should be given a magnesia bath to clean out the acids, sweeten the food contents, soothe and allay inflammation and irritation of the stomach walls and thus permit the normal healthy digestion of the food. You can give your acid inflamed stomach no finer treatment than a magnesia bath. Jt is simple, easy and pleasant to take. cannot injure the stomach and is r.ot at ail expensive. Just get a small bottle of Bisuiated Magnesia (either tablets or powder) from your druggist, put a teaspoonful of the powder or two tablets in a glass of water and drink it at every meal for a few days and your stomach will act and feel fine. It must be understood that I do not advise the use of suh forms of magnesia as citrates, acetates, sulphates, milks or lump magnesia. One of these might do more harm than good. I believe tint nothing but pure blHtiruteri magnenia should be used to neutralize an acid stomach. This form is not difficult to obtain. The best druggists have it and in the bisurated tablet or powder form it will instantly neutralize stomach acidity and insure painless, natural digestion for even chronic sufferers from stomach trouble.
