Who will have to stand this loss is not as yet known. Builders who viewed the ruins say that large portions of the remaining walls will have to be torn down. The cause of the accident will not be
known until an. official investigation! is made. i It was learned yesterday that work
men employed on the building warned I
faculty members and students one hour before the crash to stay away from the building. The members of the senior class are seriously disappointed, for they had fully expected to be graduated from the new chapel, and the work of rehearsing the dedicatory music had already begun.

Pupils of Hagerstown Schools Spend $874 for j Thrift and War Stamps Hagerstown. Ind., Feb. 23. Editor of Palladium, Richmond, Ind. Dear Sir: In your issue of last evening in a statement concerning the amount of thrift stamp and. war saving stamp sales you place to the credit of the schools of Jefferson township the amount of 1349.75. That amount was not sold by Jefferson township schools but was the amount netted by the Hagerstown schools the first day of their campaign. As we are a separate corporation from the township schools we feel that it is an injustice to the pupils of the town schools to give credit for their labors to the township schools. Hagerstown schools are organized for the work and will certainly come up at the finish next December with their part. We know that you will be glad to correct your statement as is indicated above. Further statistics concerning the Hagerstown schools are: For the week ending Feb. 22: Cash received. $684.24. First two days of the present week, $290.35. Total for first seven days, $974.59. All of the foregoing amount repre
sents sales to pupils and In their own name, except $140.42. Respectfully, W. F. COLLINS. Superintendent.

No matter how ill they feel, they drag themselves through their daily tasks, overdo and pay the penalty in headaches, backaches, backache, draggingdown pains and nervousness; they become irritable, and finally discover that some form of female complaint has fastened itself upon them. When a woman gets into this condition there is one tried and true remedy made from the roots and herbs of the field, Lydia E. Pinkham s Vegetable Compound, which for more than forty years has continued its great work among women in restoring health after many other remedies have failed. Adv.
