Tuesday Is meatless. Meatless means to eat tto red meats beef, pork, mutton, lamb, veal; and no preserved meats beef, bacon, ham, ealt pork or lard. Plan a meatless menu for tomorrow, one wheatless meal, and each meal a fat saving one.

The Music Study class will meet tomorrow afternoon iu the high school art gallery. Miss Elizabeth Ilasemeier and Mrs. Fred Bartel have charge of the program. The subject for the afternoon is "Sonota." Marshall Sonata in F Major No. 5 (Beethoven) Miss Carolyn Uutton Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes (Mozart) Cradle Song (Brahms) Women's Double Quartet Fantasie in D Minor (Mozart) Miss Mary Porter Members of the Tri Kappa sorority in Rushville have adopted a unique plan to aid the Red Cross. Large blocks for a quilt will be sold and each person who buys one will einbrotder her name on it and return it. These blocks will be made into a quilt,

which will furnish many convalescent soldiers with amusement. The squares will be of white muslin, embroidered in red. Many of the girls will embroider her address along with the name so that they may hear from the Sammv who uses the quilt.

Miss Novella Chrystal Jacobs, blind pianist, will give a concert thts evening at 8:30 o'clock in Red Men's hall. A small admission will be charged at the door.

The February social committee of the County club have arranged a dinner and card party Wednesday evening at the club. The dinner will be at 6:30 o'clock with the card party following. This 19 the last social event for February. Mrs. R. G. Leeds, chairman of the social' committee will announce the March committee some time soon. All members of the club are invited to the party Wednesday evening. The Loy&l Helpers will meet Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Marie Weidenbach at her home on the New Paris pike. Miss Margaret Beasley who is studying in the Metropolitan School of Music in Indianapolis, spent the week-end with her rarents, Mr. and Mrs. William Beasley. The Tirzah club will meet Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. George Thurer at her home.

Miss Alsie French of Newcastle spent the week-end with relatives here. Mrs. Lester Turner has returned to

her home in Dayton after a short visit with her mother, Mrs. Lena Von Pein. Mrs. Turner was formerly Miss Jeanette Von Fein of this city. Emmett Barret who is located at Waco, Tex., is here for a ten days visit with his parents.

Willis D. Rich is slowly improving at his home north of the city after a two week's illness. Marc Shofer who is now employed in the Bethlehem Steel works in Bethlehem, Penn., is here for a week's visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Shofer. Mrs. E. E. Reed and son, William, spent Sunday in Connersville with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Silvey. Miss Lola Clemmer of Dayton, O., spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Everett McConaha at their home on North Eleventh street. Miss Ruth Hieger who teaches in the high school at Wellsburg, W. Va., returned last evening after spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Hieger. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crane of Dayton, O., spent "Sunday with relatives and friends here.

The U. T. C. social club will meet tomorrow afternoon with Mrs. Harry Rae. A full attendance is desired as officers will be elected. The Hill Top Sewing circle will meet Thursday with Mrs. Paul Ross instead of Friday.

Mrs. Millard Warfel received a telegram Saturday stating that her son, Don, who has been located at Waco, Tex., has been transferred to a camp

In the east. Warfel expects to sail for France soon. Mrs. Harry Mather has gone to Omaha, Neb., for a visit with her son, Raymond, who expects to sail for France in two weeks. Under the auspices of the Morrey orchestra, a dance will be given tomorrow evening in the I. O. O. F. hall. All persons'who have been attending the Morrey dances are invited. Miss Pearl Meekg and Mrs. T. F. Johnson of Columbus, O., aj-e guests of Mrs. C. B. Smith this-week. Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Smith will entertain informally tor her guests and Thursday evening they will be guests of honor at a dinner party.

Mrs. Emma Cockerill will entertain members of the Uaiversalist Mission circle Wednesday afternoon at her home, 114 North Twenty-first street. A Washington program will be given with Mrs. Rachel Owens as leader. The Trifoleum f-ocietjy will meet this evening with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bartel instead of Rohe's as announced in the year book. Mrs. Bartel will have charge of the music. The evening will fce devoted to a study of American poets with the following papers: Henry W. Longfellow, by Mrs. Henry Bentlage; John Greenleaf Whittier by Mrs. F. A. Dressel, and James Russel Lowell, by Mrs. F. J. Bartel. The social committee for the evening is composed of Mrs. W. H. Romey, Ed. Neuman. Mrs. Laura Pille, Miss Mae Ross and Dr. F. W. Krueger. The brotherhood fnd council meeting of St. Paul's Lutheran church will be held Tuesday evening instead of Monday. , The Social Aid society of Reid Memorial church will meet Thursday with Mrs. George Moss tt her home. The

day will be spent in sewing for the Red Cross. A picnic luncheon will be served. The Home Economics class will meet tomorrow afternoon with Mrs. Harry Landis at her home on the Middleboro pike. Mrs. Mabel Greenhoff will be leader for the afternoon giving a paper on "Why and How to Save Meat." The responses to roll call will be "My favorite breed of chickens." The East End Red Cross will meet tomorrow a'fternoon with Mrs. O. E. Weaver at her home, 327 North Eighteenth street. A pretty wedding was solemnized yesterday afternoon at Reid Memorial Presbyterian church when Miss Wilms Willett, daughter of Miss Lillie Willett and J. A. Fuchs of Dayton, O., were married. Rev. J. S. Hill officiated, using the double ring service. The bride wore a becoming suit of dark blue with black hat and grey shoes. She wore a corsage of brides' roses and sweet-peas. The ceremony was witnessed by only near relatives of the bride and groom, including Miss Helen Clark of Indianapolis and Miss Bonnie Butler of Cambridge City. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Fuchs left for Dayton, where they will reside. They wjll be at home to their friends at 1502 Brown street after March 10. Mr. Fuchs is employed at the National Cash Register company. , Mrs. Edmund Hiatt has returned to her home in Kansas City after spending three weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John N. Nicholson. Mrs. Edwin F. Way who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. David M. Edwards and Mr. Edwards, will return to her home in Michigan City this week. Mrs. Way was guest of honor at a pretty Martha Washington party

An all day meeting of Missionary societies of Friends churches will be held Wednesday at the West Richmond community house. The day will be spent in sewing for the Friends Reconstruction Unit. Each woman is expected to bring her lunch. Coffee will be served by the women of West Richmond church. Women of all Friends churches are invited and urged to be present.

The Collegiate club will meet Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Edward H. Harris instead of Miss Margaret Starr. Mrs. Edgar Hiatt will gtve a paper on "Russian Women." The club Is making a study of Russia.
