The home of Captain and ' Mrs. Charles B. Russell In Hyde Park, with Its spacious rooms and broad hall, was abloom last night for the wedding of Miss Mildred Russell and Mr. Henry Evart Bulla of Salt Lake City. Green and white keyed the color tone, with tall candles, dainty shades flickering erer masses of lilies against grouped palms and ferns. Draped about the banister of the stairway southern smilax and bunches of splendid chrysanthemums converted It into a path of wonderful beauty as the lovely, bride came down on the arm of her father, who though far in the evening of life, bore himself with the military bearing of the soldier he was back in the sixties, when he served as Captain in the Sixth Ohio. Mr. Cullen Russell and Dr. Mora Bulla served as groomsmen. ,' Miss Russell is a halfsister of Mrs. Frederick Hinkle, a charming girl of many accomplishments, a linguist aud a musician. With her soft dark bair and exquisite coloring she was a beauty bride. The wedding gown of soft Georgette was over heavy satin of the most delicate shell pink; about the overdress was 'a-tracery of exquisite embroidery between stripes of drawn work of delicate design, all the workmanship of the bride, whose deft fingers had made of her bridal robe a wonderful tribute on the altar of love. The tulle veil fell softly to the hem of the long court train of satin. During the ceremony which was performed by Rev. Frank Stevenson, of the Church of the Covenant, the Misses Seymour, who gave a musical program played with exquisite softness "Oh Perfect Love." Mrs. Ru9sell (who was Miss Turpin of a prominent Newtown family) wore a handsome gown of black sink with a bit of turquoise velvet nestling in the lovely lace on the bodies. Among the out-of-town guests were Mrs. Williams of Chicago, who Is with Mr. and Mrs. Hinkle; Mrs. Sydney Smith of New York; Dr and Mrs. Bulla of Richmond. There were about sixty guests present, including Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hinkle. Miss Eleanor Walsh, Dr. and Mrs. Hulick, Mrs. Harry Neeham and Mr. and Mrs. Poundstone. Mr. and Mrs. Bulla left for Richmond. Ind., for a brief visit, where they will be the guests of honor at several small functions, then to Chic- - ngo. reaching their future home in Salt Lake about the middle of Janu- , ary, where a charmingly appointed apartment will form harmonious setting for gifts including every phase of art. GREETINGS

With the passing of one year and the opening of another, the officers and employes of this institution would convey to all patrons and friends the old, yet ever new wish: "AMerryXmas and a Happy New Year." This Christmas is full of unusual significance for the American people. We are in the midst of a great war-a war of service to humanity a war which we have entered to uphold the brotherhood of man and to bring about a righteous peace. This Yuletide there will be loved ones away from many firesides silent evidences that the ideal of service which gave to the world its first Christmas still prevails. Shall we not, in justice to our absent ones, co-operate heartily, one with another? Shall we riot," with the dawn of a new year, look forward and upward with a determination stronger than ever before to exemplify, both individually and as a nation the broadest of service to others? - As the years pass, we would have this institution Known for its "spirit of service." We wish you to realize that in every banking transaction, small or large, it is our intent to be constructive and helpful. We are united in our determination to cause the ensuing year to become more fruitful and to more closely approach the ideals to which we have pledged our name, our time and our cause. Again we wish you Christmas cheer and New Year opportunity.
