Friday is meatless day. Restaurants, lunch , rooms and patriotic housewives are substituting fish, chicken, rabbit, and egg dishes in order to conserve. Baconless breakfast are now being observed In many homes and lunch rooms. The plea to use less sugar and less fat, Is sent out to every one.

Activities at the Country club will be revived for a short time during the Christmas season. On Christmas day dinner will be served both at noon and in the evening. A number of dinner parties are being arranged for that daIn Informal dinner dance will be given Saturday evening, Dec. 29 for club members. Dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock so that dancing can begin early. The Evan Smith orcheswin furnish music for the evening.

An open house with dancing and music will be held at the clut on New Years day. All club members are urged to

"drop in" during the day.
