we will start another campaign against that fiend who sits enthroned at Berlin that murderer of babes who still believes he can! make the whole world do his will, who still believes that through his armies in Europe and through his sneaking spies and agents here he can make Americans his slaves as he made the Belgians his slaves.

This campaign is a campaign waged by civilian volunteers, a campaign that will start next Monday morning in every city, every village, every county and every township throughout America a campaign that will give every man, woman and child in the United States a chance to help win the war by becoming a Member of the American Red Cross. The cost of a Red Cross membership is only $1 .00 and that will make you a member in good standing throughout the year of 1918. The cost is so low thai there is no excuse for anybody not becoming a member, providing he has any patriotism in his soul at all.

Thousands of you who read this announcement have been wishing you could do something to help win this war and this is your'chance. The Red Cross needs you, needs your support, needs your influence, needs your active co-operation.

We believe that everybody in this community, every man, woman and child, who has the slightest spark of loyalty whatever, will be a Red Cross Member by Christmas Eve. Monday morning there will be Red Cross booths waiting for you in banks, stores, hotels and other places where you can put down your name as a member, pay your dollar and get your Red Cross Button. And we urge you to get your Button as early Monday as you can-and Wear It. Wear it on your Overcoat so we can see it. Also get a Red Cross Service Flag and hang it in your window. If you're a Red Cross Member if you're backing up our soldiers if through your doDar and your influence you're backing up our Government and helping protect American homes we want to know it and we want everybody else to know it.

Wear aRed Cross Button and put a Red Cross Service Flag in Your Window Richmond Chapter American Red Cross Those who are now Red Cross Members need not renew at this time unless they wish to. They need not renew until their first year has expired. But all those present members who have a strong desire to help this cause, and want to forget the unexpired portion of their first year's membership and start in fresh with the millions of new members who join next week, will be most heartily welcomed.
