NATE DISCOVERS ANCIENT VIOLIN 300 YEARS OLD Now Owned By Josephine Hill of Economy Johnsson To Infirmary. By NATE EDWARDS ECONOMY, Ind.. Deo. Mr. Hill the Third owned a big plantation and several slaves in Tennessee. He sent a few of his slaves north bo fore the war and they f oo vent by the name of Hill. The violin was given to William Hill, negro, who gave it to his son William, and he gave it to his daughter Josephine, who now has It. It Is of a small pattern and cost the original owner $130.... Electrical Course Offered to Boys of Junior High School

Junior high school boys will be offered a course la electricity when the new term begins after the holidays; A basement room at the school has been made into a practical phop. Instructor Evans and the beys et the school did all the work, Experiments In electrical work will be worked out by the boys. The course will consist of a study of motors and dynamos, balls, alarms and lights, instruments, Installation and operation of telephone and telegraph. Manufacturers who have old motors or other electral devices not In use are asked to notify Vocation Director Carman.

COURSE8 ANNOUNCED FOR GARFIELD SCHOOL YOUTH

Vocational Director Carman, announced Monday courses in metal, printing, wood, concrete and electricity will be offered boys of the Junior High school at the beginning of the new term. Several of the subjects are compulsory. At least four hours a week must be given to one of the subjects.

CentraVze Work of War Fund Campaign

ANDERSON, Ind., Dec. 11. In all of the twenty-nine precincts of Anderson, men and women as precinct organizers arranged yesterday for a canvassing committee in each precinct to centralize the work of seeking contributions for various funds. The home and precinct plan of canvass will be followed throughout Madison county, avoiding any solicitation in the mill or business precincts, except of persons living in such precincts. The Rev. J. W. Underwood, of Anderson, is the Madison county chairman. E. C. Toner, district chairman, conducted a meeting for Howard county at Kokomo today, and he will be at Tipton tonight. He was at Lebanon Saturday night.
