LIEUT. PERI60RD, HERO OF MARNE, TO SPEAK HERE .' -- - ' 5 Officer, Who Spent Three Years in War, Will Tell Experiences. Lieutenant Paul Perigord, "who spent three years In France, will speak at the High school auditorium, Wednesday evening December 12. The lecture will be under the auspices of the Commercial club. Lleutenent Perigord was in the batll of Manie. He will relate Interesting: experiences of the war. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago, attended Harvard and Columbia . Previous to his enlistment as a private he was professor of ethics in ii Catholic seminary in St. Paul. He is an excellent speaker. He is employed by the State Council of Defence. No admission will be charged.

Mrs. Fleming Dies at Age ot 87 Years Mrs. Esther B. Fleming, 87 years old, died Monday morning at her home, 41 South Sixteenth street, of a complication of diseases. She was born July 10, 1830, in Preble county and had been a resident of Richmond for a number of years. The surviving members of the family are: Two daughters, Mrs. Mary Roller, of Greensfork, Ind., and Miss Jennie Fleming, of Richmond: one son, Oliver Fleming of Richmond;, two grand children and one great grand child. .The funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 at the home. Burial will be in New Paris cemetery. Friends may call at any time, Wednesday.

ILLNESS IN PASTOR'S HOME CLOSES REVIVAL MEETING

The revival meeting at the Nazarene church closed last nifht on account of sickness In the pasror's home. Rev. L. T. Wells, the pastor, ha been conducting his own meetings. The regular prayer meeting will be held Wednesday evening.

STATE GRANGE CONVENES HERE

Richmond will entertain 600 delegates this week when the, Indiana State Grange meets in Masonic hall until Thursday evening. At the opening session. Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the I. O. O. F. Hall, delegates will be welcomed by Mayor Robbins, Secretary Albus, .William Dudley Foulke and Mrs. M. F. Johnston. Rev. J. J. Rae will give the invocation. - Mrs. F. - W. Krueger will sing. The Woman's auxiliary of the Grange will also hold sessions in Richmond at this time. -,

DECLARED ILLEGAL.

WASHINGTON. Dec. 10. Federal court decrees holding the United iffine Workers of America and the American Flint "Glass Workers to be legal organizations under West Virginia statutes, and the common law, were today reversed by the Supreme court.

BUILDING LOW IN NOVEMBER

Less building was done In Richmond during the month of November than in any preceding month in. the year, according to the records of City Building Inspector Hodgin. " One new frame residence and one new garage wero built. The total, Including repairs and remodeling, amounted to J4.C50. Fees collected during the month amounted to $29.50. The building loss during the month, caused, by nine fires amounted to $1,600.

Cancel Meeting of Commercial Club

H. E. Barnard, state federal food administrator, will not come to Richmond Monday night as was expected. The state food director was to address a meeting in the Commercial club rooms. - The meeting has been postponed.

Roland Nusbaum Has Enlisted in Army

Roland Nusbaum, son of Lee B. Nusbaum, Richmond merchant, enlisted in the quartermaster corps of the army Saturday, at Indianapolis. Mr. Nusbaum has not been notified as to where he will be sent but he expects to leave Richmond before Christmas.
