EATON, O.. Dec. 7. The funeral of Charles Miller, 48 years old, stock buyer, who was killed Tuesday- when a Pennsylvania limited train struck and wrecked his automobile on a crossing in Eldorado, was held Thurs-
: day morning at 10 o'clock at his late

dorado. The services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Shaw, pastor of the Methodist church here. Burial was in the cemetery at New Pari3. So large was the attendance at the services that many were unable to gain entrance into the house, the decedent " having been well known throughout Preble and Darke counties. Surviving are the wife, one son and one daughter After having been closed to traffic since last spring, the Dayton pike between Eaton and West Alexandria has been opened, following completion of macadamizing the pike. The work was done by Harrv W. Curry and company of this city.

Motley Sentenced to Federal Prison
MOBILE, Ala., Dec. 7. Pleading
guilty to a charge of violating the Mann white slave act. Rev. Richard White Motley, formerly of the First i Christian church, Spartanburg, Ind., ' was sentenced to serve a year and a ; day in federal prison at Atlanta. ! Motley was arrested here June at a local hotel with Mrs. Mattie Mann, a church worker and wife of a Spart- '. anburg farmer. Mrs. Mann, after testi- ! fying at the preliminary hearing, went 1 back to her husband and was forgiven. ' She was at the trial today as a prose- . cuting witness. ! Motley stated when arrested that i he had not sinned in the eyes of God.
