SUNDAY SCHOOL CONVENTION AT NEW PARIS DEC. 9 Jefferson Township Sunday Schools and Congress of Girls and Boys to Meet. NEW PARIS, O., Dec. 6 Th second Jefferson township Sunday school ' convention and the 'Teen Age Congress of boys and girls will be beld here Eunday. The Sunday school convention will be held in the Christian church and the boys and girls congress in the Presbyterian church. The program at the Christian church will open at 2 o'clock with a song by the audience and church choir. Devotional services will be conducted by Rev. D. S. Ewry, pastor of the New Paris M. E. hurch. Prof. A. A. Maysillcs, superintendent of education at 2:30 o'clock. Reports of the township Sunday schools will be read at the evening session and special music will be given. A taik on "Music in the Sunday School" will bo given by C. M. Benson. "Aaims of the Sunday School," will' be the subject of a talk by Rev. George F. Crites, pastor of the Christian church of New Paris. "The Teacher and His Class," is the subject of Stephen Petry's talk. The boys and girls congress will be flavored with patriotism and several patriotic airs sung. Miss Evelyn Northrop, township girls president, will be in charge of the devotional services and a prayer will be offered by Roy Arnold, president of the boys. "Our Aim," is the subject of a talk to be given by C. O. Ashman. Tbe program will be held in the Presbyterian church. The women of the Christian church will hold a bazaar and supper Saturday, in the parlors of the church. A Christmas gift selection of handsome crocheted, embroidered and handsewed articles, will be on sale, as well as a unique collection of Japanese articles, all imported. A supper, served by tbe famous cooks of that church, wi lbe served at the evening hour, and all these features promise to make a profitable sale for the ladiei. On Saturday night the third number of the High school lecture course will be given at the High school auditorium, the uumber to be a lecture by Andrew Johnson, humorist. An enjoyable evening was - spent Tuesday by the Masonic lodge and work in the third degree was exemplified, two candidates being received into the lodge.
