The bride wore a beautiful gown of embroidered net over satin and a white tulle veil, caught around her head with pearl bands, with sweet peas and orange blossoms sent from California. She carried a bouqust of sweetheart roses and sweet paas. Both the bride and groom are graduates of the local high school. Officials have Teen unable to throw any light on the myitery Involved in the finding of a skull on the farm of Henry French, just outside the town of Patoka. The skull was found protruding from a washed-out bank of a creek. The head evidently is that of a man and in the back Is a small hole, indicating that he had been struck. Canada's Industrial disputes investigation act passed In 1907 and designed to prevent strikes and lockouts la mines, railroads, street railways, steamships,' telegraph and" telephone lines, gas, electric light, water and power wo'ks, is receiving considerable attention in connection with a proposed amendment to the evicting federal statute which provides for mediation, conciliation and arbitration of such controversies as resulted in the eighthour law passed by congress last September to prevent a threatened railroad strike.
