rr THEM : FAIR PRICES AT PENLAW'S SALE The sale conducted by Col.- Tom Conniff at the Penlaw farm near Fountain City, Monday, realized $4,000. Some 300 persons were present. Two year old horses sold at an average price of $150. The best farm horees realized $170. Ten cattle were offered, the best milch cows going from $60 to $90. Others went for an average price of $50. Calves had an average price of $30. Shoats sold from $16 to $25. A few mediums went at $18.50. The bidding was animated; cattle being in demand. , Clover seed sold at $15.25 to $16.50. The 25 tons of clover hay went from $18 to $19 per ton. The 13 acres of corn in the field fetched an average price of $50 per acre. Agricultural implements fetched fair prices. Walt Farlow, WOson McGraw, George Showalter, Clarence Clatt, George and Hi Williams were among the principal buyers.
