Madame Alma Gluck, who will sing in the Coliseum Wednesday night, Dec. 5, on the People's Music Course, is giving freely of her time and money to war work. Eiarly in the season, before her concert tour began, she announced she would give $25,000 or more out of the proceeds of this season's concerts to the Red Cross. At the large fee which her superlative talents entitle her to, this means a large percentage of all her engagements. A large part of the money paid to her for her Richmond appearance will, therefore, go to the Red Cross. e In addition to this she is knitting industriously for the Red Cross and has been a large contributor to all the war funds. Sings For Soldiers. When she was in Seattle recently she made a trip to Camp Lewis where she sang before 12,000 soldiers in training there. She charmed the soldiers with her voice then she made a little speech in which she said she al-
