BRINGS IN S28 MIDDLEBORO, Ind., Nor. 19.---The social conducted by Miss Florence Guthrie, principal, and her assistant. Miss Marjorie Pickett, and a host of helpers for the piano -and expense fund of the school realized 20 at the door, and $S on the baskets and cake. Cox's mills have purchased 6,00ft bushels of wheat, which is being turned into flour. There is 6till a deal of wheat to be brought in. Some white corn has been purchased about 2,000 bushels but a lot had to be sampled and dried before it could be ground into corn meal, Bert Doherty, who has on more than one occasion done well with porkois, took ten hogs to market Saturday and received $600, or $60 a head. Shucking has commenced on the Boyd farm, and up until Saturday, 1,000 bushels had been cribbed. Most farmers are placing the best of the corn in the cribs. MRS. MEEKS DIES AT HOME OF SON Mrs. Elizabeth Meeks, a former resident of Richmond, died Sunday morning at the home cf her son, Jesse Cooper, in Hamilton. Ohio. She is survived by a brother, Jesse Meek, and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Turner of Richmond, and Mrs. Jennie Hart of Pandora, Iowa. The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Elkhorn church. Burial in the Elkhorn cemetery.
