Keep Body Clean to Keep Boils Away Says Dr. J. N. Hurty INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. lfi. Boils are caused by germs, and are something which can be avoided to a certain extent, Dr. J. N. Hurty, state health commissioner says. It is no longer necessary to suffer with the patience of Job. How to avoid them, and what to do if boils appear is the subject of' a bulletin issued by Dr. Hurty. He said: "Certain germs cause boils by bor ing into the skin. Under normal conditions the body does not suffer from boll causing germs, but when from body abuse vitality becomes lowered, then the germs get in their work. Then they enter through the slightest abrasions of the skin, multiply, produce puss and cause inflamation, swelling and pain. "To prevent boils don't assault your body and cause debility. Keep your body clean. If your nutrition is good
and your blood up to normal you won't
have boils, even though your skin Is not kept clean, still bathing helps keep boils away. Persons with boils should take a bath In hot water and soap twice a day, morning and night. After the bath the patient should have clean clothing. Above all one who is subject to boils should build up his resistance by eating simple food, leading a regular life, living much out of doors, and eating little meat .. Eat bran bread, fruits and vegetables and drink freely of pure cool water."
LIBERALS TO MEET
Austrians Tyrannize Over Polish People THE HAGUE, Nov. 16 The Jewish correspondence bureau hears grave complaint from the Jews in Polish territory occupied by the Austrians. The occupying power is declared to have become daily more and more anti-Jewish, despite its promises of deliverance from "Russian tyrrany" made when the Austrian army entered Poland. . The use of Yiddish is forbidden and none of the ordinances mide by the Germans regulating the status of Jews in German occupied territories has been made operative in the Austrian section, where, in fact the Jews possess no rights whatever. The Austrian excuse is that the old Russian discriminative laws governing the position of the Jews in Poland can not be abolished, even though they are no longer operative in Russia itself, and all efforts to remedy this state of affairB have failed. HELPFUL WORDS From a Richmond Citlzert. . Ts your back lame and painful? 'Does it ache especially after exertion? Is there a soreness in the kidney region? These symptoms suggest weak kidneys. Give your trouble prompt attention. t Doan's Kidney Pills are for weak kidneys. Your neighbors use and recommend them. Read this Richmond testimony. William Cooper, 414 South Eleventh street, says: "My back was weak and : lame and ached a great deal. I used Doan's Kidney Pills and they relieved me in a short time. I advise anyone to get a box at Thistlethwaite's Drug Store if troubled in this way." Phice bOc, at all dealers. Don't simply ask for a kidney remedy get Doan's Kidney Pills the same that Mr. Cooper had. Foster-Milburn Co., Mfgrs., Buffalo, New York. (Adv.

The four biggest firms in the United States, doing a business of nearly $150,000,000 a year, depend on nickels and dimes. There are four 5 and 10cent stores in this country that made sales last year of $87,000,444 from nickels and dimes.
Says He Feels Fine When He Gets Up Now Nolan Gets Good Rest Each Night Since He Gave Tanlac a Trial.
E. H.Nolan 701 South street, Andersonnd., said he used to feel more tired when he got up in the mornings than ,he did when he 1 went to bed at night." '- V 1 - "I couldn't sleep soundly," Mr. Nolan said, "and I always felt tired in the mornings, I didn't have any ambition and didn't feel like working. "My stomach was out of order, too, and th,e food I ate didn't seem to do me any good at all. I had a knawing feeling in my stomach most of the time. "Two bottles of Tanlac were all I needed. They fixed me up in fine shape. I can sleep soundly every night now and I get up in mornings feeling good. My stomach is back in good shape, too, since I've taken Tanlac. I haven't had a bit of trouble like I used to have since I tried Tanlac. Tanlac is a vegetable tonic especially designed to build up run-down systems. It has helped thousands of weakened men and women. If you are not feeling right get Tanlac and get it today. You can get Tanlac at any of Thistlethwaite's drug stores or any other good drug store.
