Harry Parker W r i tes T o Economy Friends About Value of Word from Home. By NATE EDWARDS Economy, Ind.. Nov. 9. A card was received today from Harry Parker, an Economy boy who came under the first draft call and now Is' in training at Camp Shelby, Miss., stating how much home news is appreciate by the soldier boys. He Is In A Co., 151st Infantry, and is well known in Richmond, as he clerked in one of the big stores. Here is the message: "I think I shall turn my little tobacco fund into a postage fund and remember the folks in "Old Perry" with a line occasionally, because a word in return is worth as much as a square meal in a soldier's life. We Hoosiers were not taugh to fight of course, but Just give us a r-hnnro nt the TCaispr Rill well VOU
will get the result from Nate's Economy items at least. On the square, though, here Is one ittle Sammie that will hang on to the finish -for the ratives of 'Old Perry'." The Kinggolia Campfire palefaces held a business meeting Tuesday afternoon at the high school hall. They probably will form a Junior .Red Cross society at their next meeting. Friday afternoon they will have a popcorn sale at the school house The Odd Fellows gave an oyster supper at their hall Tuesday night. George Thornburg, West River, made the speech of the evening. A splendid time was the result.. . . .The past three days of Indian summer weather has not been wasted by the farmers in Perry. Clover hulling, plowing ground for next year's corn crop and husking corn has consumed the time. Thomas Hadley has 500 bushels of corn in Jthe crib. He rlanted the 90 day variety and it matured nicely.. . . .Edwin Frazer, who as recently operated on at a Richmond hospital, is improving nicely and soon will be back in Economy high school again. He is the son of Rev. Oliver Frazer, pastor of the Economy Friend church Elsworth Conley rrrived from SummitvilJe to spend a few days- with his mother, Mrs. Martha Good, before he leaves for Florida for the winter Mr. and Mrs. Doak Swoin are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Will Conarroe at Lake Point this week Cecil DeLong left for Muncle Tuesday night to resume work as a telegraph operator after being detained at home two weeks Harry Cain, C. and O. station agent, received a letter from the government agent today asking him to make contracts with farmers for their timothy hay at $27 n ton. The letter stated that 100 carloads would be bough here if that many were available. A few sold hay at $20 a ton the first of the week Joe Haxton, vice president of the L'conomy Board of Trade, made the statement this Wednesday . evening that there' would not be any more meetings until. after thecwar .Some of the farmers wives said that this would have been an ideal year for raising turkeys, . as there never was known to be . so many grasshoppers as there was this season. Turkeys fatten rn 'hopper.s Rufus Williams ishaving his barn and stable floors laid in cement. Randolph Nelson, Haladay vand Son, are doing the cement work. Thomas Cain and family, Prof. Eraumfiel and family, Dr. Loop and family. Rev. Ray Ballard and family attended the concert at Richmond Wednesday night.
Stronger len Take the Lead
They Have Nerves of Iron and Real Red Fighting Blood.
Vital force is the material from which leaders in all walks of life are made, it is well worth getting and holding.
The health and nerve of the athlete is what Nature intended every man and woman to have. The blood of an athlete is pure and red, a strong heart pumps and drives it through his body. No wonder that every inch of his system is filled with energy and health, his nerves like Iron, spirits, high, hard tasks a pleasure and life one song of joy. A leading Doctor says, "Everyone should feel this way. That if you are
not rea oiooaea, are nervous, an run down and on your last legs, for you to build up your blood and nerves with exercise, fresh air. nourishing food and Nature's great prescription Phosphated Iron a real blood and nerve builder." Then you will be there with vim and pv.sh to easily do the work that you now do on your nerves alone. He also says, "Phosphated Iron feeds the blood cells with iron and Nerve force, and that leading specialists are now using it successfully all over the country, that it has sprung into almost instant popularity with the better class of doctors as one of the few remedies they can depend on to produce results." . Special Notice To insure physicians and their patients getting the genuine Phosphated Iron we put up in capsules only, so do not allow dealers to substitute any pills or tablets."
