Horse Buyers Opportunity Out of every 100 brood mares in the United States this year approximately only 40 were bred. In this case if the usual average holds true there will be about 20 colts for every 100 brood mares next year. With the increasing war demand for horses and the need of the farmers for more horses on account of the greater acreage they are farming in order to feed the warring allied nations, this means the beginning of eventually the greatest scarcity of horses in the history of the nation. ; . Wise farmers will buy horses and colts now and benefit rather than suffer loss from the higher prices that will inevitably prevail with the coming scarcity of horses. Harry Newman R. Q. Leeds
