Report Sent Back A statement prepared by the business committee of the meeting in which the historic Quaker principle of "non resistance" is reaffirmed was presented to the Meeting Friday afternoon, although in the morning it had been announced that the statement probably would be submitted Saturday. After hearing the report the meeting sent it back to the business committee for some minor changes. The report of the business committee on the attitude to be assumed by Friends toward warfare set out that the idea of peace was gradually obtaining recognition among the nations and that along with the great principles of temperance, prison reform, social betterment, abolition of slavery and evangelization, peace would soon come into general acceptance among men. In the present crisis It reiterated the doctrinal declaration of the Friends that great national ends could be obtained without bloodshed and war. The report calls on Quakers everywhere ti study anew this fundamental doctrine of their church. Charles E. Tebbetts criticised the Friends for their apparent negligence In supporting the relief work which
