Without batting an eyelid at the citizens complaints, council, led by President Hobbs and Councilman Taylor, jumped Into the breach, Tuesday, and ordered four car loads of coal In the name of the town. A councilmanic committee will see that the coal Is properly distributed.

Swedish Newspapers Say United States Conscripts Citizens STOCKHOLM, Oct 17 A portion of the Swedish press proposes to believe that Swedish subjects are now being enrolled in the American army, despite the Washington state department's message saying the enrollment bill bad not been passed. The Svenska Dagbladet accompanied Minister Morris' communication of the department's message with the assertion that enrollment of Swedes were proceeding under a law of 1909. The Svenska Morgenbladet today publishes a letter from a man in Vaesteras, who declares that his son who
went to America In 1916 to study,' received mustering order No. S32 ' and was mustered In In September under army order number 409. The writer declares further that his son was exempted from military service in Sweden because of poor eyesight.
