artillery service because of their education in higher mathematics and engineering, are proving a great joy to their commander and instructors. It is predicted that all will make splendid officers in active service.

Eaton Orders Coal Through Colambus EATON, O- Oct IS. Coal shortage in this city has reached such an alarming state that member of council have been stirred to action, and an order for six carloads has ben sent to Attorney General MoGbee by Mayor Foos. According to advices from Columbus, the order will be filled. Council plana to place the consignment in the hands of local retailers

for distribution. Sales, however, will be limited to hot more than one ton to a customer.

Mr. Moyle was born in Salt Lake City, in 1858, and, after graduating from the Utah State University, took

a course in law at the University of

Michigan, from which institution he was graduated in 18S5.

He engaged in the practice of law in Utah and became a director in some

of the leading institutions of the State. He was twice County Attorney of Salt

Lake county and a member of the State Legislature in 1888. He is a Democrat and twice was his party's

candidate for Governor.
