Richmond heard her decree at the second Style show, given in the Murray theatre Tuesday afternoon and evening by Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kolp, under the auspices of a group of Richmond merchants.1- ' The show exhibited the latest creations In women's attire from yusbaum company, men's clothes and furhlsh!ngs from the Dennis shop and Lichtenfels" haberdashery, shoes from Thomas and Wessel'a, and furniture from Romeys and automobiles from the Chenoweth Auto agency. The first part of the exhibit was of fall suits and furs from Nusbaum's, live models entering the stage through "fashion's door," which was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Kolp in evening attire. A group of young men from Newcastle escorted the young women, showing the latest fabrics and "cuts" from the Dennis shop and Lichtenfels. Coats were also exhibited and the models walked down the aisles of the theatre that the garments might bear closer inspection from the audience. Nursery Furniture Pleases. One of the most interesting parts of the entire show, was the exhibit of nursery furniture by Romey's. Two little children, with their nurse showed the interior of a complete nursery. Spot suits and hats were shown in connection with the latest model Buick, exhibited by the Chenoweth company. The Milburn electric, with William Marsh and Mrs. Marian McCarthy in evening attire also came in for its share of attention. The Brunswick phonograph furnished music for solo and duo dances by Mrs. McCarthy, Mrs. Kolp, Miss ' Lucille Reel, of Eaton, O., Mr. Kolp and Ralph Luddington of Cambridge City and for a dance by the models, in which stunning evening dresses were shown. The Evan Smith dance orchestra furnished other music for the show, including a ten-minute interlude of dance music, with Ray Weeks and Evan Smith as soloists. The theatre was crowded at both the afternoon and evening performances and interested people line both sides of the theatre when all available teats were filled. Urged to Use War Code of Telegraphy

, Kenneth V. Carman, of the . Vocational department, received a letter Wednesday morning from the War Department urging him to use the International code in telegraphy classes instead of the Morse Code. The International code is used In modern warfare. Classes will open Wednesday night at 7:15 o'clock. There are 63 registrations, 15 of whom are women. The general service code for use between the army and navy and for gen eral signalling is as follows:

SEEK TO RAISE $1,000 A MONTH "Raise $1,000 a month for the next six months." This was the slogan adopted Wednesday when a luncheon was given at the Y. M. C. A. by the members of the Aremnian Relief fund committee. William Dudley Foulke presided at the meeting. It was decided to appoint a Richmond man to take charge of the campaign and the matter was referred to the executive committee with Dr. M. F. Johnston as chairman. Members of the board who attended the luncheon were Stanley W. Hayes, Dr. M. F. Johnston, Rev. E. E. Davis, Superintendent J. T. Giles, Professor Mead Kelsey, State Secretary of the Armenian Relief work, Rev. R. D. Baldwin, B. B. Myrick, Edgar F. Hiatt, Secretary Walter C. Woodward, with Editor Woodward of the "Graphic," Newburg, Orgeon, father of Professor Woodward and who is here for the Five Years meeting, as a special guest. Rev. M. G. Papazian, who was to speak at the Commercial club Tuesday night in the interest of the Armenian Relief work failed to arrive. The committee received no message as to the cause of his failure to appear. Rolls Down Steep Embankment; Unhurt George Rodenburg, teamster employed by the city, miraculously escaped injury Wednesday when the wagon he was driving, a team of horses and himself rolled down the Fifth street dump, a 6-foot embankment. The wagon which was "backed up" got too near the edge and went over. Neither of the, horses was hurt. The fire department was called and pulled the wagon and. horses up. INFIRMARY VALUE MOUNTS $7,451 IN LAST QUARTER Total Value of the Personal Property Is $20,636 Petro Files Report.

Increase in the value of the Wayne county infirmary amounting to $7,451 in the last quarter was shown In the report of the Inventory of the infirmary made by the county commissioners Tuesday. The total value of the personal property at the infirmary Is given at $20,636. Since Superintendent Petro has been in charge of the infirmary, which has been since March, 1914, the total value of the personal property has increased almost $13,000. This great increase has been due largely to the increase In the value of livestock and grain that has been raised at the farm although the efficient management of Superintendent is cited in the report as contributing to the Increase. Sell $2,727.53 Worth Products amounting to $2ti27.53 have been sold from the farm in the last quarter, including a large shipment of wheat and hogs. The farm now has, as a part of its stock, the following: 600 bushels of wheat. 200 bushels of oats. 55 head of cattle, valued at $1,625. 70 tons of hay. 227 hogs, valued- at $5,500. 170 tons of silage. 15 tons of straw. 500 bushels of potatoes. 200 chickens. 1,478 gallons of canned goods, valued at $1,100. The canned goods now in stock at the infirmary has all been prepared at the farm canning plant, erected last year. This is one of the biggest improvements that have been made at (Advertisement.) With 300 at With an attendance of 300 the Music Study club opened its season in an auspicious manner Tuesday evening in the high school auditorium. The program was arranged by members of the executive board with Mrs. Lewis C. King, chairman, Miss Mable Hasemeler and Mrs. George H. Eggemeyer, members. Mrs. Lewis C. King made an Informal talk introducing Mrs. Mable Stant of Dublin, director of First Methodist church choir. Benham on Program. Roy Benham, of Eaton, Ohio, a ten? or, also sang. Miss Laura Gaston, head of the music department of Earlham College, also assisted. The program was opened with "Rigcletto" by Verdi-Listz played by Mrs. Lewis C. King. Miss Marjorie Beck, played Liszt's, "Polonaise in E Major" in an accomplished manner. j Two violin solos w ere given by i Miss Marguerite Hasemeier, "Vien nese Popular Song" and "Schon Jiosmarin," written by Fritz Kreisler. The audience was delighted with Miss Hasemeier's appearance. She rarely plays In Richmond as most of her time is spent at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. The numbers were played by Miss Carolyn Hutton, Miss Ruth Scott and Miss Mildred Schalk. Mrs. Charles Igelman'a number, "Villa of Dreams" by Daniels was not given on account of her illness. The next regular meeting of the club will, be held Wednesday morning, October 23. at the hiKh school and the J subject will be Bach and Handel. Mrs. Olive Allison, head of the surgical dressings committee of the Red Cross, returned Tuwday from Indianapolis where she took the examination for new work in Burgical dressings. Mrs. Allison asks persons to contribute old linen sheets in which to wrap surgical dressings and old newspapers for irrigation pads.
