FILLING HIS SILO WHITEWATER, Ind., Sept. 19 Roy Barton, who believes in winter feed for his stock, began the work of filling his silo yesterday. It will hold eighty tons of feed. means. All of the prizes will be on display within a short time, so that all may see the value and beauty of each. How to Win a Prize. The object of the contest Is to secure subscriptions to The Palladium. The candidates securing the most votes will win the prizes. The way to secure votes is to get your friends and neighbors to pay a subscription to The Palladium. A coupon will be published in every issue. This coupon, if neatly cut out and sent to the contest department, will count as votes for the candidate named thereon. Candidates can secure subscriptions anywhere and are not confined to their own district. Write to your friends, no matter where they live. We Will Send a Representative. Cut out a nomination or informa tion blank and mail it to the contest department and we will be glad to send a representative to fully explain the terms of the contest, and If you decide to enter, supply you with a receipt book and all necessary information. Candidates must reside in one of the prescribed localities. A ballot will be printed In The Pal ladium. Each coupon must be cast within seven days after it has been printed, and will be counted for the candidate whose name and district appears on it. All ballots must be neatly trimmed and Include the border or they will be rejected as Informal. These coupons will be good for the number of votes printed thereon. Ballots must be sent direct to Con test Department of The Palladium office and postage must be fully prepaid or they will be rejected rpd not counted. Votes Issued on Subscriptions. Paid in advance subscriptions are to be sent DIRECT to The Palladium office, and, on receipt of remittance, special ballots will be Issued. Tbe paper will be delivered by mail or carrier. Any protest as to eligibility of any candidates -will not be considered if votes have been cast for said candidates for a period of 20 days or longer. No employe or members of employe's family of The Palladium can participate In this contest. Any question that may arise will be determined by The Palladium and its decision will be final and absolute. To secure special ballots all moneys must reach the office Contest Departmen, where all ballots will be issued. How Votes Are Secured. With every subscription to The Palladium (when asked for) is given a coupon good for a certain number of votes, according to the length of the subscription. This is explained elsewhere. These coupons must be voted before date of expiration, which is printed on each coupon. The ballots printed in The Palladium are good if voted within one -week from the time printed. The date on which they expire is printed on the bottom of each ballot, and if the time has expired the ballot will not be counted. A nomination ballot counts for 1.000 votes. , Votes cannot be bought; they must be clipped from the paper or secured on subscriptions. Votes secured by one contestant cannot be transferred to another. The Voting Rules During the first three weeks of the contest ending Oct. 15th, no candidate will be permitted to vote more than 6,000 votes a day more than the higheet candidate had in the previous day's publication. Should a Tie Occur In case of a tie for any of the prizes offered in this contest, a prize of equal value ' will be given the candidates who tie for same.
