Inquiry at the office of the American Seeding company Tuesday elicited the fact that the fall season had opened exceedingly well. The last sixty days had seen a rush of orders for the seeding machines which are making rapid headway with the farmers. The

year, and the fall output promised to be even greater. There is quite a shortage of labor.

An Important work was begun by a large gang of construction and section men on the Pennsylvania, Tuesday. The tiacks between Fifteenth and Sixteenth streets east are being lined south, so as to admit of the laying of two additional tracks. -
