The arrows and numerals will mark the landing places for the student
aviators of the Wilbur Wright camp on the National Road air route. A motor truck bearing painting ma
terials and manned by Sergeants Charles Pyle and John Bookwalter started from the Indianapolis Speedway Wednesday and is coming east along the National Road, putting up the Bigns. v List of Places. The Richmond Country Club, Easthaven, the county- infirmary, . and the farms of Ophelia G. Shutts, I. Pricker, James A. Boyd, M. J. Bond, Will Dyer, L. E. Swallow, Charles Richardson, George McConaha, John Doyle, and Tony Wolke will be the places in Wayne county which will be used for landing places. Only three fanners, one of them a Quaker living near Richmond, refused permission to the markers, and their farms will be used anyway. The locations are necessary for carrying out the plan. ' . AGED MAN BLOWS PART OF HEAD OFF
John Fox, sixty-three years old, living at 1711; South E street, committed 6uicide Thursday afternoon by blowing part of his head off with a eixteengauge shotgun. HI health was given by members of the family as the probable cause of the act Fox had been down-town, and when he returned to his home, went immediately back into the garden behind the house. CONNELL'S WHEAT YIELDS - 34i2 BUSHELS TO AN ACRE
MILTON, " Ind.. July 27. The first new wheat of the season to; be delivered to the Kleum mill here was brought in by John Connell, south of town. The yield was thirty-four and onehalf bushels to the acre, and the wheat tested fifty-eight pounds to the bushel.

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 27. The war department has been asked - to Bend federal troops here immediately to prevent depredations said to have "been threatened by striking cannery workers. The. canneries have large orders for the United' States government and for the allies.
