States Military Academy at West
Point have been received by Congressman Elliott of the Sixth Indiana dis trict from young men In his district.
However, no vacancy for the appoint
ment of a cadet to that academy will occur until June, 19J9, for admission to the academy in June, 1920.
The Sixth Indiana district now has
its full quota of cadets at West Point,
John H. Elleman, Richmond, of the
class of 1920, and Bonnel H. Boring Kushville, of the class of 1921.
Druggists in various part of the
Sixth district are up in arms against section 304 of the War Revenue bill, ; -which provides a tax on the alcohol

William Dudley Foulke was a re
cent visitor in Washington. He came here on business and after a short
stay r.eturned to Richmond. His son--In-law, Dudley Cates of San Francisco, formerly of Richmond, has been appointed one of the attaches of the Hoover Food Commission. Cates has been employed as secretary of the California Tax Commission. Mr. and Mrs. Cates will reside in Washington. One of the most prominent Republican leaders In the Sixth district, Enos Porter of Shelbyville, spent a day In Washington this week, leaving here for New York on a business mission. Ha was accompanied by Mrs. Porter and daughter.

Suit for divorce was filed in circuit court Thursday by Mary Sains against Robert Sains, on charges of failure to provide and cruel and inhuman treatment. The plaintiff also asks for the custody of four minor children.
Russell Kinsey filed suit in circuit court Thursday for divorce from Maude Kinsey. The couple were married in 1914, and have been separated for about a year. i

Mrs. Charles Clark of Indianapolis, a daughter of one of the most distinguished men who ever represented the Sixth district in congress, the late George W. Julian, of Centerville, was a recent visitor in Washington. Other recent visitors in Washington from the Sixth district were Charles N. Teetor, Hagerstown, Miles S. Cox, Rushville, Col. Edwin P. Thayer, Greenfield, and Albert J. Feeger and Walter H. Weil, both of Richmond.
Charles E. Dill, of Cambridge City has filed suit in circuit court against Eva and Joseph Bender to collect on a note. The. plaintiff demands $3150 and attorneys' fees.
