Twice the Quota in Each District Must Be Examined at Once.
WASHINGTON. July 26. Master lints of army conscription drawing were in the hands of a number of local exemption boards today, and were on their way to other boards more distant from Washington, where they were mailed yesterday. Each local board, on receipt of the lists Is required to summon for examination twice as many men as the actual quota for the district Thus the work of selecting men to make up the first half million contingent of the national army hereafter Is in the hands of civilians composing the exemption boards. Examination of the master list showed only a few errors in the unofficial list compiled by the press during the rush hours of the drawing and telegraphed to all parts of the country.

IF HAIR IS TURNING GRAY, USE SAGE TEA Don't look oldl. Try Grandmother's recipe to darken and beautify faded, streaked hair.
That beautiful, even shade of dark, glossy hair can only be had by brewing a mixture of Sage Tea and Sulphur. Your hair is your charm. It makes or mars the face. When it fades, turns gray or streaked, Just an application or two of Sage and Sulphur enchances its appearance a hundredfold. Don't bother to prepare the mixture; you can get this famous old recipe improved by the addition of other Ingredients for BO cents a large bottle, all ready for use. It Is caled Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound. This can always be depended upon to bring back the natural color and lustre of your hair. Everybody uses "Wyeth's" Sage and Sulphur Compound now because it 1 darkens so naturally and evenly that nobody can tell It has been applied. You eimply dampen a eponge or soft
brush with It and draw this through the hair, taking one small strand at a
time; by morning the gray hair has
disappeared, and after another applica
tion it becomes beautifully dark and
appears glossy and lustrous. This
ready-to-use preparation is a delightful toilet requisite for those who desire
dark hair and a youthful appearance,
It is not intended for the cure, mitigation or prevention of disease. Adv.

Patriotism. Prompts Strikers to Return CLEVELAND, O.. July 26. Patriotic response to the government's representations that war contracts are being hampered seriously, brought an end to the strike of the 1.500 Cleveland drop forge workers late last night and the men returned to work this morning after having been on strike for nearly a month. Demands of the men for an eight hour day with no reduction in pay will be held In abeyance and work will be resumed on the ten-hour day basis of pay. The only demand made by the men in returning to work is that there be no discrimination against members of the Brotherhood of Drop Forge trades.

Wheat Yields 50.5 Bushels Per Acre
CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., July 26. The wheat . grown on 28 acres of the old fair ground, formerly owned by John S. Lackey, but now by B. L. Woodward, of Dublin, yielded 1,054 bushels. A part of the field, containing 18 acres, was sown in corn. From this was threshed 549 bushels. The other part containing 10 acres, yielded 505 bushels or an average of 50.5 bushels an acre. It is not probable that this crop will be surpassed, although many fields in this vicinity are furnishing an average of 30 to 35 bushels per acre.
