FARCERS MAY II AVEWHEAT INSPECTED UPON APPLICATION
R. A. Off. under tbe direction of G. I. Christie. Staff Food Director, was it the vicinity of Hagerstown and Cambridge City Friday Inspecting vheat fields and listing ' all those which were found suitable for seed wheat. ; " Where a desirable field was found the owner was sought and asked to sign an unobligatory agreement that lie will dispose of the listed wheat for beed purposes rather than for milling purposes. A list of names of farmers owning approved fields of wheat will be sent to Purdue and a duplicate copy will be left In the hands of the local committee for Wayne county. This local committee consists of I. T. Beck, Wayne township supervisor, chairman; and Charles W. Jordan, and Mr. Carpenter. . It is Impossible for Ogg to visit and inspect all the fields of wheat In Wayne county within the two days allotted for this county. Other farmers having fields of wheat pure, unmixed, free from cockel and rye may have them listed by notifying any member of this committee, who will arrange to have the field inspected. All fields listed by this committee must be. inspected and approved by the representative before the wheat is cut. No fields can be listed after It is in the shock. The nams of all farmers owning approved fields of wheat will be printed in the local papers. Purdue will furnish expert wheat men to conduct eight wheat meetings In Wayne county d..iing the month of August. Communities in this county desiring one of these demonstration meetings should apply to the above : named committee so that arrangements may be made in advance. On The Boards "Within The Law" proved to be a hugh success with The Otis Oliver Flayers at the Murray last evening. It caught the fancy of the crowd from the outset, held the audience in tense Interest throughtout, won a fusillade of laughter by its comedy and finally swept along to sure victory. Ruth Dunbar as the wronged girl scored tremendously. She was dyn- , araic in the bigger speeches, and her emotion seemed very ieal and her success was genuinely deserved. Pauline LeRoy, was very amusing as Agnes Lynch, a young lady with a blackmailing past, who talks slang. Glen Argo should be commended for playing c ieverly an emotional part. Rupert Clark played very wll indeed the part of Joe Garson. Asliton Newton was forceful and real as the young lover. Jack Robertson as Inspector Burke taa the last word in realism. . If , one wants to see what a real police inspector looks like they should see Mr. Jlobertson. Harry J.kWaqacft.8 the made up the balance of the cast. The p ay remains until Saturday evening.
