WHEAT PRICE DROPS ON FEDERAL REPORT CHICAGO. June 8. Wheat showed n declining tendency today owing largely to predictions that the, government crop report would be' bearish. Some estimates were that the yield indiluted would total 50.000,000 bushels more than was harvested in 1916. Dry weather complaints from the spring wheat states and from Canada, however, counted somewhat as an offset. Opening prices, which ranged from (he same as yesterday's finish to.lc lower, with July at $2.21 to $2.22 and Sept. at $1.94 to $1.95, were followed by moderate further setback all around. MORE RAIN COMES, . . -PREDICTS MOOBE
Rainy w;eather will continue for an it definite period, according to Weatherman Moore, and so far there are no indications of settled summer weather. Rain will be the most prominent feature of the w eather conditions for the entire summer. This is due, according to Mr. Moore, to the low atmospheric pressure that prevails throughout the northern hern: isphere. and is not. as some pe'rsous' believe, due to the moon. "The moon," ' Moore declared, ' affects only the tide and has nothing whatsoever to do with the weather.". , PALLADIUM WANT ADS PAY.
