2,000,000 LIEN NEEDED TO TAKE RUSSIANS PLACE American ; Military Experts Prepare to Fill Gap if Slavs Collapse. By ARTHUR 8EAR8 HENNING WASHINGTON, June 8. The military collapse of Russia will require the United States to furnish 2,000,000 soldiers as soon as it is physically possible to do so, in the opinion of not a few war department officials. It Is estimated here that with Russia out of the military reckoning Germany will be able to transfer nearly 2.000,000 troops from the. eastern to front. This transfer is
believed to be in progress, and a terrific drive by Hindenburg on the British and French is expected to materialize within the next few weeks. England has approximately 1,500,000 men in France. 1.000,000 in the Levantine countries, and is holding 2.000,000 at home, some of whom are still in training and some of whom are held to resist a possible invasion by Germany. England is raising an additional 500.000 men to meet the wastage of battle but is said to be unable to increase the size of the British armv on the western front, i Confess Delay in Drive 1 The British confession of a slow-up in the drive on the Hindenburg line was made in the article by the military correspondent of the London Times which was cabled to this country yesterday. A recognized military authority, who reflects the opinion of the war department, expressed the belief today that the military critic of the Times was not the author of the article but that it was written with the authorization of the British general staff if not by a member of the general staff himself. The article contained information, he asserted, that was not available to any civilian or other person not connected with the British war office. He characterized the article as England's explanation of the slowness of the advance, occasiorfed by its inability to assert a superiority of force over the central empires. More Germans to West I "The London Times writer states that there are seventy-six German divisions and thirty-six Austro-Hungar-ian divisions on the Russian front," be said. "They are inactive, and available for use in the west, which would give them a distinct superiority over the allies, taking into account the superior transportation facilities of the central powers over the Eng lish and French armies. "This total of 121 divisions means that, counting 15,000 men to the division, the Germans and Austrians have 1.815,000 troops available for service in the west whenever they are needed. This puts the allies back to where they stood four months ago, and means that to make up the deficiency of the Anglo-French-Belgian armies the United States will have to send

White serare looks cool, refuses to muss or wrinkle, and comes up fresh and smiling from every cleansing. The lines of this suit are both youthful and smart a consummation devoutly to be wished. The unusual features are the wide pocket hem at the front of the coat, the greater length of the coat tails, the belt low in front and high in back, the flaring cuffs, the loop stitching of heavywhite floss and the satin buttons. All is developed in spotless white. With the suit is worn a hat of gray hemp, with a crown and semi-brim of vivid turquoise blue felt, through which laces a wide gray faille ribbon.

"The London critic placed the blame
for this misfortune on Russia. The
provisional government of Russia has
pot been able to hold the Russian troops up to the butchery of war.
"They are tired of fighting and lack
ing in discipline. They are not moved by pleas for national honor, for their Slav brethren, the Serbs, or for the
allies. They want peace, and unless
they can be overcome they will have it.
"The allies are no longer counting
on, assistance from Russia this year,
and all their plans for military operations in 1917 will have to be made ever.
"The only hope for making the Rus
sian army effective, even if Russia
does not retire from the war, is through the restoration of discipline among the troops, which would require many months to accomplish. At the present time the soldiers have the
situation in their own hands and they refuse to fight.
Russia May Help Germany The allied . governments fear that
Russians, ignoring the central authority, will assist Germany in replenishing her military stores and food de
pots, being lured to this treachery by the great profits offered by Germany.
The entente governments, it is said
here today, will request Japan soon to share in the allied shipping burden. All the entente nations and the United States are risking their vessels in the common cause, while Japan, with few exceptions, is engaging her ships in a profitable carrying business free from all risks.

On The Boards
"One Girl's Experience" was given a most commendable production by the popular Otis Oliver Players at the Murray last evening. It proved to be the best melodrama seen at this theatre in some time. The story is about a poor working girl, who afterwards turns out to be the daughter of the owner of a factory where she is employed. That the large audience liked the play was evident from the applause that greeted the players from time to time. A pleasing vein of comedy relieved the tense situations and balanced the performance nicely. Sarah Gibney was the heroine Lucy, and acted the part in a manner that
pleased all. Ashton Newton played the hero Paul in a pleasing manner,

The double-service tooth paste,
keeps teeth clean AND GUMS HEALTHY.
Keeping the gums healthy and the mouth sweet is very important to health; more teeth are lost through the loosening of the tissue that holds the teeth in place than from decay. Dental science to-day demands that a tooth paste must keep the gums healthy as well as clean the teeth. Senreco was formulated to meet this requirement. Hundreds of dentists are prescribing and using Senreco because they have found that it does measure up to that standard. SENRECO IS A WONDERFUL CLEANSER. In addition to its remedial properties Senreco is a wonderful cleanser; acts directly on the mucin film, the basis of tartar; leaves the mouth cool and clean-feeling. As some one has expressed it Senreco gives one a new idea on mouth cleanliness. Get a tube to-day at your druggists or toilet counter enjoy the healthy., cleanly feeling its use gives your nvuth and gums. Notice bow brilliantly white Senreco makes your teeth. It performs this two-fold service for you and yet costs no more than the ordinary, old-tashioned tooth paste that simply cleans the teeth and lves a pleasant taste 25 cents for a large 2 ounce tube.
