Now the sight of a pyjatna suit, no matter where, throws the comedian into a frenzy. Last week Mr. Chaplin received over 1,000 letters from feminine pyjatna fans, asking him to furnish them original pyjama designs. He. employs two secretaries to fight off applicants in person, who insist upon consulting him about py jamas. When June Rand, an enter prising arid charm ing young woman, invented the I "Sassy Jane" py jama, she thought well of the idea but knew capital would be neces sary to its development. On the strength of a brilliant "hunch," she railroaded herself to Los Angeles, and laid her plans before Mr. Chaplin. The comedian was impressed.
