CHICAGO WOMEN SAVE ON CLOTHES

CHICAGO. May 19. A touch of wartime economy on the part of Chicago women was shown here today when it became known that more than onehalf of the assistants of the fashionable modistes along Michigan Boulevard, the most exclusive woman's shopping district in the city, have been discharged. This is said to be the rebult of the saving In clothes put into effect by Chicago women since war was threatened.

Entirely New Way to Banish Superfluous Hair (Really Removes Roots and All)

Why should any woman continue to wear an ugly, humiliating growth of

hair on her face, now that it Is known this can be completely and quickly re

moved, roots and all, by the new

phelactlne process? The process is not to be compared at all with the de

pilatory, electrical or shaving methods. Phelactlne is non-odorous, non-irritating, non-poisonous so harmless it could be eaten without any bad effect. Best of all, the hairs come out entire, oven the roots, before one's very eyes! The skin is left as smooth and hairfree as a child's. , Anyone vho purchases a stick of Tihelactine from the druggist and fol

VEGETABLE CALOMEL

Vegetable calomel, extract of the root of the olMashioned may-apple plant, does not salivate. As a liver stimulator it's great. It's a perfect substitute for ordinary calomel (mercury); in fact, it's better, because its action is gentle instead of severe and irritating- and it leaves no mean, disagreeable aftereffects. Physicians recognize this and prescribe may-apple root (podophyllum tney call it) daily. Combined with four other standard, all-vegetable remedies, mayapple root may now be had at most any druggist's in convenient sugarcoated tablet form by asking for Sentanel Laxatives. If you forget the name, ask for the box that has thepicture of the soldier on it. These tablets are small, easy to take and are really wonderful little performers. Tney quickly clean out the poisons that are causing you headache, constipation, sour stomach, biliousness, dizzy spells, bad breath and coated tongue. They are mild. They never gripe. And they are a bowel tonic as well as a cleanser and liver regulator. A 10c box should last one several weeks. A Physician's trial package (4 doses) will be mailed you free if you write ment'oningr this advertisement. The Sentanel Remedies Co., 802 Madi on Ave., Covington, Ey, .
