AUTO KEEPS DOWN QUALITY OF CROPS III PREBLE COUNTY
. EATON, O.. May 1. Although It is conceded that the number of automobiles in Preble county this year will be far greater than the number last year, several leading farmers have predicted that its use this summer will be curbed to a considerable extent. . Asked the reason, one farmer ottered Jn explanation the statement that in former years excessive use of the auto was responsible for failure upon the part of many to care properly for crops. , He cited one circumstance that effectually clinched his argument. The farmer of whom he spoke happened to be owner of a small place, enough land, however, to be farmed along lines of Intensified agriculture and capable of returning yields of exceptional value. T)!is man purchased an automobile. He had just finished planting bis tobacco, so he decided to take his family away to a neighboring state on a touring trip to visit relatives. After three weeks had elapsed the family concluded to return home. When they arrived the head of the family was disheartened when he found that weeds had almost overrun his tobacco patch and other crops. His disgust was also given a substantial boost when, after taking an inventory, he found that his $165 bank account had dwindled to only 3 or $4.

t
These remaining sets are the very last in the whole world, printed on the famous India paper, that can be offered. They are printed on the last India paper manufactured before the war made it impossible to get the special kind of flax from Belgium, Ireland and Germany and hemp from Russia for the making of India paper. No more of these raw materials is available, or will be procurable for years after tjje war, for te making of India paper.
And the only sets of the Britannica for sale anywhere in the world, printed on this beautiful paper, are right here in America. Orders have greatly increased in the last month the sales have jumped to an average of more than 2,000 sets a week. This fact makes it certain that the few remaining sets will not last beyond 2 or 3 weeks. If you know the Britannica, know how useful it will be to you, and are quite sure you should own a set, order it immediately. This s your only assurance of getting it. When the last day is announced on which we can accept orders with any prospect of filling them, it is reasonable to expect a great rush of orders to come in at the eleventh hour. This was shown last June when a slight increase in the price was made on account of the increase in the cost of book ma king materials, and we received over 17,000 orders after the last day.
