Think About " : The words of Lincoln will live they were made good by the '- men. Theodore Roosevelt. Let Uncle Sam Help
Too few persons know what' Uncle Sam does for them. If they did, they would apply for the bulletins which his experts prepare and which
can be had for the asking.
This spring thousands of urban dwellers are turning to new tasks. ; They are planting gardens. What do the most of them know about soil conditions and planting methods? Very little. But your Uncle Sam is ready to give you advice

Comstock on Conscription After opposing the obligatory service bill, Representative Comstock in the eleventh hour ascended the band wagon and voted for the measure. A perusal of the district papers ought to convince Mr. Comstock that his constituents in the Sixth district demand the conscription bill. They are opposed to the volunteer bill. In this
district are thousands of men who volunteered in the Union army and thousands of their sons, but the majority of them look with disfavor upon a measure that penalizes the volunteer and puts a premium on the slackers, who stays at home and make money while their neighbor fight for the nation. No congressional measure of recent years has attracted so much attention in the Sixth district as the universal military service bill, and few bills have received so much backing among the voters as the measure which would make every man directly responsible for the defense of the nation.

HERE'S ONE Saya you save $5 In an hour b dry cleaning everything with gaeollne. Dry cleaning at some is Just as elmpie as laundering. Any woman can clean five dollars' worth in fifteen minutes at lltle cost by getting from the drug store two ounces of solvite and put this in two gallons of gasoline, where it quickly dissolves. Then immerse articles to be cleaned; rub a little and la a few moments the gasoline evaporates and the articles look bright and fresh as new. You can dry clean silk waists, dresses, coats, ribbons, kid gloves, eatin shoes, evening slippers, shawls, belts, yokes, furs, , boas, muffs, neckties. lawnB, dimity and chiffon dresses, draperies, fine laces, lace curtains, woolen garments, In fact, any and everything that would be ruined by soap and water as dry cleaning doesn't fade, shrink or wrinkle, making pressing unnecessary. Your grocer or any garage will supply the gasoline and you can obtain two ounces of solvite at the drug store, which is simply a gasoline soap. Than a wash boiler or large dishpan completes your dry cleaning outfit. Adv. and

Healthy Skin Depends on Kidneys The ekin and the intestines, which work together with the kidneys to throw out the poisons of the body, do a part of the work, but a clean body and a healthy one depends on the kidneys. If top kidneys are clogged with toxic poisons you suffer from stiffness in the knees in the morning on arising, your joints seem "rusty," you may have rheumatic pains, pain in the back, stiff neck, headaches, sometimes swollen feet,, or neuralgic pains all due to the utht acid or toxic poisons in the blood. This is. the time to go to the nearest drug store and simply obtain a 50c. package of Anuric (double strength), the discovery of Dr. Pierce of" Buffalo, N. Y. Then drink a cup of hot water before meals, with an Anuric Tablet, and notice the gratifying results. You will find that Anuric dissolves uric acid almost as water docs sugar. .OPERATION AVOIDED. Lafayette, Ind. "Three years ago I was taken to tne Hospital all arrangements made for an operation, but when I the doctors were unh certain as to whether A it was to be for appendieitis or woman s l trouble I insisted up on being taken home until they were of one opinion as to my ailment. Then a friend told me what wonderful remedies Dr. Pierce's were, selling right from the drug shelves, and thought they might give me relief. I bought a bottle each of 'Favorite Prescription' and 'Golden Medical Discovery' and a box of 'Lotion Tablets These relieved me of a catarrhal condition, all abdominal pain, etc. But I took the medicines for almost a year to make sure of a complete recovery. Today I am m absolutely good health,'! Mas. U. S. Ceitsee, 414 Union St. S I on Us this super-quality stand Tires not only amazingly inrrrto
