"Quakerism" will be the general subject of a series of addresses to be given by tho Rev. Charles M. Woodman at the 5 o'clock Vespers at the Allen ' Jay Memorial Friends church. Tomorrow afternoon the Rev. Mr. Woodman will consider: "Quakerism in Is Historical Setting." ' This will be a review of the movement which resulted in the . growth of the modern Friends church. On ' May 6, the ' subject' will be: "Quakerism in Its Contact and Fellowship With God." This will be a study of the fundamental doctrines of the church. "Quakerism as a Program for Human Life" is the subject for May 13. This sermon will be a resume of fundamental nneltlnna nfr thn annlloAt ton of
the Quaker teachings.

Alfred Bavis, independent candidate for mayor, evoked a patriotic outburst
last night at a meeting of Seventh ward women in Allen Jay church. "I used to say . there were three things to which I would raise my hat, to God, to the American flag and to my mother. Now I add a fourth, Wood row Wilson," he said. -" William Stevens, Republican candidate for city cleric, also spoke. Esther Griffin White presided over the meeting and in a brief talk she urged care in voting for delegates to the constitutional convention in order that men favoring universal suffrage may be- eleqted. About 50 women attended.
