MISS GISH PLAYS . "STAGE STRUCK" AT THE MURRAY

In "Stage Struck," at the Murray Sunday, her latest starring vehicle, Dorothy Glsh plays the part of a young woman who, had been hood-winked by a fake dramatic agency, and finds herselfin a cheap . theatrical boarding house, penniless and forlorn, after being stranded with a traveling company sent out by the school to get rid of its excess pupils, who had been promised jobs. Naturally thi part required the appearance of tho Triangle-Fine Arts star in numerous situations calculat1 ed to wreck the air castles of a girl who had aspired to a career before the foot-lights, only to see her first venture into the world of make believe tomo to such an inglorious end. The .hardships, she was forced to undergo would have shattered the ideals of any Kirl. But a still worse experience was brought about by Director Edward Morrissey in cocspiracy with the weather man. " The entire large Vitagraph studio which generally supplies floor space for five or six rooms was used in the ballroom scene in "The Masked Ball," the third episode of "The Scarlet Runner," the mile-a-minute motor series written by C. N. and A. M. Williamson featuring Earle Williams. A new episode is shown upon the screen at the Arcade theatre every Sunday.
