X00 MINISTER L0SE8 HEARING PEKING, April 18 (Correspondence of The Associated Press) Dr. Wu Ting-fang's service as Minister of Foreign Affairs early this month was brought to a sadden end by his loss of hearing. Dr. Wu. accepted the foreign office portfolio reluctlantly at the request of President Lr Yuan-hung and leaders of the different parties in China. He was a compromise candidate who stepped in at a time when 1 the opposing factions could not agree on anybody else. John Tomashunos, of Sioux City, la., paid $150 in the office of the clerk of courts to Joe Bulkevich, in return for relinquishment by Bulkevich of all claim to the hand of Varanika Rozmnaite, a Lithuanian girl. Court Its complaint against said defendant in the above entitled cause on notes and for attachment demand $11,300.00, together with the affidavit of a competent person, showing that said defendant, George M. Cummins is not a resident of the State of Indiana. Said defendant George M. Cummins therefore are hereby notified of the filing and pendency of said complaint against them and that unless they appear and answer or demur thereto, at the calling -of the said cause, on the 2nd day of June, 1917, a day of the April term of said court which was tegun and held at the Court House In the City of Richmond on the first Monday of April, 1917. said complaint and the matters and things therein contained and alleged, will be taken as true, and the said cause will be heard and determined in his absence.
