"THE PRINCESS PAT" Charles Darnton the efficient critic of the New York Evening World wrote of the Cort Cheatre production of the Henry Blossom-Victor Herbert musical comedy which comes to the Washington Tuesday night, April 10th. "It is the best American musical comedv that has been written in years." This would seem to be sufficient endorsement for any seeker of entertainment "The Princess Pat" Is built on entirely different lines from "M'dlle Modiste," "The Red Mill," "The Prima Donna," and the various other earlier works of Mr.' Herbert, yet the same masterful ability of this celebrated composer to give to the public a spirited score is ever in evidence in this opera. Every number and there are twenty of them in this latest Herbert musical comedy, have won praise. It is said to be the sort of music that tells a story and in several situations in the opera, when every voice is silent and only the orchestra is heard one can easily imagine the thought that it is Intended to convey.
