Notes of Rural Schools by Heads
.BY E. R.JONES (President Wayne County Sunday School Association.) Some forgot it, some are thinking about it, some have to see the board, butthe fellow that said. "Sure, go ahead, if the school won't pay for 1t I will,- is the spirit of the Wide-awake Sunday school superintendent How many ministers of the churches of Wayne county have been seen by the , Sunday school superintendents about this Wayne county publicity? Do the ministers want the Sunday school, to "Stay For Church?" Wayne county has lost three county department superintendents. This is a serious blow to the county Sunday school work and must be made up by extra efforts of the township officers. Wayne county regrets that the following officers are leaving for other places, thus taking them from the county work. Mr. W. E. Klopp, press superintendent. Mrs. W. E. Klopp, home department. Mrs. Clinton Commons, secondary superintendent. We wish them well in their new homes, and new fields of activity. Has every Sunday school superintendent got their school to the "Standard" it 'should be? Look at your Standard Leaflet. As goes your school, so goes the county. We still want to stay "Top Notch." How many township presidents have visited all the schools in their township? How many department superintendents have had a department conference? This is a great day of "Preparedness." Are you prepared with your reports?
BY MISS LAURA BERTSCH (Secretary Wayne County Sunday ' School Association.) Are your Sunday school records properly kept? , The secretary's work may be grouped under: (1) Enrolling; (2) Recording the attendance; (3) Studying and following up absences; (4) Recording withdrawals, and causes for the same; (5) Reports. The efficient secretary should know more, about his school than any other person in it. This is a broad state
ment, but if he works his job under
the above divisions, you will soon see
where to go for information.
Report time is here. "Have you made
yours? Superintendents and secre
taries please 6ee that your schools are
reported correctly and promptly. If
you have no filled the card report
ent you, please do so at once, and re turn it to your township or city secre tary.
Be on time at each, session of your , school, it will help your secretary to make a perfect ' record, also stay for church, it will gladden your pastor's
heart, and it will help you.

Nine Year Old South Bend Boy Loses Little Time From School
If more parents would follow the advice of Mr. J. M. Felton, 116 E. Broadway, South Bend, Ind., their children wouldn't lose much time from school on account of colds. The important thing is to treat these troubles at the first symptom. Keep plenty of fresh air in the bedroom, and at night apply a good application of Vick's VapoRub Salve, leaving the covering loose around the neck, so the vapors arising may be inhaled. Mr. Felton gives his experience as follows: "About a week ago our nine year eld boy came home from school with a cold pain in his head and high fever. We put him to bed and applied Vick's VapoRub up his nostrils and over his chest, then covered with a warm flannel cloth and In the morning the pain in his head was gone and in two days he went back to school and has been well since. VapoRub is the best we have ever used."
CVANS GRIFFIN FELTON. VapoRub relieves by absorptiothrough the skin, taking out the tight Less and soreness, and al3o by inhalation as a vapor. These soothing, antiseptic vapors loosen the phlegm anc! open the air passages. Thres size3.
