" The dance planned for this evening at the Country club by members of the March social committee with Mrs. Ben Bartel, chairman, has been postponed indefinitely on account of a death. For the pleasure of Miss Esther Dahl of Massachusetts, who is the guest of Miss Dorothy Land, Miss Esther Coate entertained several guests informally last evening at her pretty home in Reeveston. Cards were a feature of the evening. A delicious collation was served. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Kelly will entertain the club at their home, College avenue. A cantata entitled "The Seven Last Words of Christ" by Dubois, will be presented Friday evening, April 6 at 7:30 o'clock at the First English Lutheran church. Miss Alice Knollenberg is organist and Mr. Lee B. Nusbaum, director of the Senior choir which will sing at this time. The program will be announced later. The public Is cordially invited to attend. Mrs. 0. F. Ward will be hostess Thursday afternoon for a meeting of h 3 aid society of the Reid Memorial hospital at her home, South Sixteenth street. Stitch-A-While club members were entertained in a pleasant manner Thursday afternoon by Mrs. Frank Kinert at her home, East Main street. Mrs. Benjamin Pitts was a guest. Luncheon was served. The Easter colors were carried but in the menu. The napkins were ornamented with miniature chicks. In a fortnight Mrs. Will Massey has the club at her home, 234 North Twenty-first street. Mrs. Oscar Tressel's Sunday school class of Trinity Lutheran church, is giving a market Saturday afternoon at Mrs. Oakland's Wall Paper store on Main street. This evening at the high school a play in three acts will be given by members of the Pedestrian club. The play is entitled, "Breezy Point." An admission will be asked.
