Submarine War Blamed for Drop in Stock Prices

For the first time, the war is blamed for a reduction in prices. A break In the cattle an dhog market came today as a result, dealers say, of the submarine warfare. And a still further decline la expected. Exports are being reduced to such an exten that the market is being flooded with live stock, live and dressed. Ever since th ewar opened the consumer has becta regaled with stories from foodstuff and necessity dealers that prices have been boosted because of the war. ' Hard-pressed family men may view the ruthless undersea campaign with less alarm as a resutl of this last an

nouncement. In the Indianapolis market today cat- j tie dropped in price from 25 to CO cents a hundred pounds and hogs 30 cents a hundred. Quotations were unchanged by . the ;
