Sedgwick Describes Big Fishing Trip Made in Motor Boat in the Gulf

' Richard Stdgwick, who la enjoying , a vacation in Florida has written an '. interesting letter home in whlcn he describes a recent fishing expedition as follows: . Well my boy: I want to tell you about the greatst fishing frolic I ever had. We went by auto to a little town about 10 miles south of here on the gulf by the name of Cortes. It is a little fishing town . of about 200 people; has no streets or street lights and no one knows any- ; thing but fish and they certainly know , that well. We went there the night before to be there by daylight next morning. . .We engaged a man and boat to take us out and we gave him $6 and all the fish we couid catch. Daylight found us all ready to start and about thirty other boats also ready. ' Would Bring Dead to Life. To see all the boats starting out about the same time and to hear the chug of all their motors would bring a dead man to life if he had ever been n fisherman. , We went out into the gulf about ten miles and the boats scattered over a raidius of two or three miles in order to locate a school of fish. . When a school is located all the boats center in and work, back and forth over an area of from 10 to 20 acres. We bad no difficulty in locating a large school and then the fun began. Imagine if you can thirty good sized motor boats going back and forth and uround In every way, three lines in pach boat and everybody catching fish 1o beat the band and the fish running from thirty to fouty pounds each and you have a faint conception of what was happening. The water was rough enough to make it interesting for a fellow to keep on his feet which adds quite a bit of excitement to the occasion. This is kept up for an hour or so when the fish are either all scattered or scared nway. The boats then scatter over an of five or six miles when one of ' - boats locates a new school when - same excttement sets in. Surely Provides Good Sport. with the ohnmlna of the motors.

the splashing of the fish, the shouts of the fishermen this is surely sport that would satisfy the most exacting hunter of the finny tribe. The average sport goes at it very deliberately with his rod and reel but as the excitement grows will throw aside his rod and

reel roll up his sleeves and take to a hand line. ' The fish we fished for were kingfish but we took in everything that got on our hooks. We used a large spoon with one loose hook and line that you could hold a bronco with. Our boat with Walter Doan, a doctor and myself caught 86 that actually weighed on buying scales 519 pounds and we did it all in five hours' time. The kingfish is fighter every inch of him. We got some 3 feet, four inch, es long. The average of the whole lot would be about 3 feet I would give the best help on my farm if I would have a picture of this party. We kept the busiest of the busy taking off the fish.

WASHINGTON The Washington theatre is looking forward to the banner business of the season when the Marbury-Comstock Musical production "Very Good Eddie" comes next Saturday, March 24th. This most popular musical comedy In America today comes here direct

from the twelve months run in Newl

York, ,at the Princess and Casino theatres. "Very Good Eddie" was written by Philip Bartholomae and Guy Bolton with lyrics by Schuler Greene and music by one of America's most popular composers Jerome Kern. One of the reasons for the phenomenal success of "Very Good Eddie" is that the book is as good as the music and the music is as good as the book. A rare combination these days.

THOUGHTS TO THINK ABOUT It is considered good cheer to take your own ill without fear, and your courage will always grow when you refuse to look at woe. Charity makes you carry to the helpless the very happiness in kind and amount that you would give all to possess for yourself you sanctify by sacrifice. Your abilities are always latent until you give them latitude; you have .within you the faculties which when properly used, will turn defeat into success. An automobile may be secured at half the original cost and yet be almost as good as new. Where? Why just read the advertisements under the "Automobile" classification in the Palladium and see.

HOT TEA BREAKS A COLD-TRY THIS

Get a small package of Hamburg Breast Tea, or as the German folks call it, "Hamburger Brust Thee," at any pharmacy. Take a tablespoonful of the tea, put a cup of boiling water upon it, pour through a sieve and drink a teacup full at any time. It is the most effective way to break a cold and cure grip, as it opens the pores, relieving congestion. Also loosens the bowels, thus breaking a cold at once. It is inexpensive and entirely vegetable, therefore harmles.

t Use gasoline to dry clean everything at home and save I I $5 In an hour. You will never again pay enormous prices f6r dry cleaning after trying this. Any woman' can clean and renew the appearance of yokes, ribbons, satins, laces, silks, furs, shirtwaists, Swiss, lawn, organdie and chiffon dresses, kid gloves and shoes, neckties, children's clothes, suits, caps, woolen garments, fancy vests, draperies, rugs, in fact, any and everything that would be ruined with soap and water.Get two ounces of solvite at any drug store and put it in two gallons of gasoline, where it quickly dissolves. Then put in the goods to be cleaned. After a little rubbing out they come looking bright and fresh as new. You will find nothing fades, shrinks or wrinkles, requiring no pressing. You would have to pay $5 at a dry cleaning establishment for the cleaning which can be done at home as easily as laundering. Any grocery or garage will supply the gasoline and your druggist will sell you two ounces of solvite which is simply a gasoline soa"p, then a large dishpan or wash boiler completes your dry cleaning outfit. True Secret of Keeping Youthful Looking

(The Beautv Rsol-pr

The real secret of keeping young-lookinz and beautiful, ' says a well-known hygienist, is to keep the liver and bowels normally active. Without these requisites, poisonous waste products remain in the system, polluting the blood and lodging in various organs, tissues, joints. One becomes flabby, obese, nervous, mentally ahisgish, dull-eyed, wrinkled and sallow of face. 'Riif-. ta' rrct- nJ
