Kills Big Hawks Near Chester

CHESTER, "Ind., March 18. The Ladies' aid society met Wednesday afternoon in the hall.. There were thirteen members present ..Mr. and Mrs. William Hiatt of Centerville, Indiana,-are Visiting Bert Carman and family this week. I.. Scott Lichty and family moved to East Germantown thia week Mr. and Mrs. John Toschlog will move to the farm vacated by Mr. Lichty. . . .Everett McMahan. who lives north of town, killed two large chicken hawks last week. Each hawk weighed two and one-half pounds and measured four feet from tip of one wing to tip of the other. Mr.- McMahan killed the hawks with a single barren Ehot-gun and only fired one shot at each bird. Relative Entertained Mrs. Vornauf and eon Harry entertained relatives from Kokomo, Whitewater and Greensfork last Sunday. . . Morton McMahan spent Friday and Saturday at his farm near Greensfork. ...The finance committee of the M. E. church met at the home of James Webster last Monday night.. T. Orchestra Plays at Sunday School

A popular concert will be given ia Fairview Methodist church Tuesday night,. March 27,. by the Williams Concert orchestra under auspices of the G. R. O. W. class of the Sunday school. Miss Charlotte E. Rogers will give a number of readings and four local soloists will appear. Proceeds from this concert will go to the piano fund of the class. Manager Williams of the orchestra announces this is the first of a series of 18 recitals booked for this season.
