RICHMOND HELD AS STRONG BIDDER OF STATE HONORS

BY FRANK DUNING BLOOMINGTON. Ind., March 16. Richmond high school basketball team entered the state lists at Bloomington today one of the five favorites picked for the first honor. Muncle, Kokomo, Jefferson of Lafayette and Gary were the other likely bets. ' I. U. and Indianapolis basketball critics are impressed with the Richmond team. The Quakers have been the topic of discussion in more than one basketball fanning bee. Fans here in Bloomington will be disappointed if the team falls down on their predictions. t Richmond's basketball colony, including Principal Pickell and a email body of R. H. S. students was on the side lines when the R. H. S. five trotted out for the Columbus game at 1 o'clock this afternoon.

Team Is In Fine Fettle. -

Guests at the Sigma Nu fraternity house, the Richmond squad, which arrived from Indianapolis Thursday avenlng, has been afforded every physical comfort and is therefore In good condition for the grind. It was a case of early to bed for the charges of Lyboult last night and should the Quakers come through the Columbus game whole the same policy will be followed out tonight. Saturday night the team attends the banquet for visiting teams given under the auspices of I. U. Richmond's chance to finish high in the title race was augmented by the hope that Bus Parker, captain and center, would be able to play the full set of games. Parker's father, O. K. Parker Is dangerously 111 and a turn for the worse would mean the Richmond captain's withdrawal from the contests. Mr. Parker's condition today Is reported as somewhat better. Should It become necessary for

Parker to return home. Coach Lyboult

is prepared for the situation. Sheldon Simmons, sub center and star forward, is regarded as an Invaluable man for the place and will be used at pivot in case of emergency. Bulach, Lyboult's colt sub forward,

will be used in Simmons' place In case

a change is necessary. The officials of the tournamentRay Mowe, Merle Abbett and Bert Westover are all that Coach Lyboult of the Richmond team could ask. Richmond's open play will not be retarded by these referees.

GOOD BLOOD

Given good, clean, healthy blood, Nature will do the rest with any case of catarrh, Inflammatory rheumatism, scrofula, eczema, erysipelas, boils, , pimples, or skin diseases of any kind. Good blood Invariably means -vigorous appetite, good digestion and strength. Thus it stands to reason that an effective "alterative" or blood purifier, while it will not cure all diseases, will help in fighting any disease, and will relieve those mentioned above, all of which comes from bad blood. Forty years ago Dr. A. B. Simpson of Richmond, Ind., was known as one of the most successful physicians in three states. His success was founded almost exclusively on one prescrlp- - tlon, the most powerful blood purifier ever known. This prescription Is regularly put up as Dr. A. B. Simpson's Vegetable Compound. It has been used extensively all over the country, and in forty years has never failed to do good. Simpson's Vegetable Compound is harmless as it

Is effective. It is sold at ?1 per bottle at all drug stores. Adv.
