Stylish Frocks for the Girls

Smoked gray chiffon over a rose-color satin foundation and makes a frock which looks like an embodiment of sunset on a river. Silver bands outline shoulders and corsage and fall into long sash lines ending in silver tassels. The chiffon floats out from under the arm in a double cascade and fades away like a mist where an old rose velvet flower, nestles softly, at the front of the corsage.

The Song

When "little sister" goes off to school she wears a warm coat and under it a sensible wash frock, which -she may be permitted, to "muss-up" with right good will. The dress is of brown linen of that soft ehade called "cafe- au-lalt," cut in one straight piece like the chemise frocks of the gTown ups, and it is broadly girdled at the waist by a brown suede belt,- whose rich, dark shade just matches the bands which finish hem and neck sleeves. A very dress-up "party frock" is this. - And yet deft fingers may fashion it at little expense. , Kate Green- -away would not have disowned the little costume of white net over pale pink lawn or china ilk. - The puffedsleeves end in flaring cuffs cut in deep squares like those which finish hem and neck.'
