RELIEF CORPS PLANS INTENSIVE CANVASS TO GET SIGNATURES

Women's Relief Corps will make an active canvass of all voters of Wayne township In the near future in an effort to get enough 6ipiatures to petit'ons to warrant county commlssioners asking county council for an appropriation for the erection of a Morton statue. To 3ate over eight hundred signatures have been secured on the petitions. The corps is well satisfied with -results obtained at the primary election, Tuesday. In many places, nobody was at the polls to call attention of voters to the petitions. Only a few persons refused to sign the petitions. In the canvass of the county voters, r.oll books for the general election . Inst fall will be used as guides.

WARNER ADDRESSES CLUB

Sergeant Warner of the United .'.States Army recruiting station will address the Rotary club at its meeting, Tuesday noon. He will explain the v strength of the army and the need of ' recruits. He will also discuss military training in schools.

Owen, of Oklahoma, who demanded a cloture rule at the opening of the special session of the Senate, designed to prevent filibustering such as that conducted under the leaderchip of Senators LaFollette and Stone, 'which defeated the Armed Neutrality 'bill. Senator Owen says he believes that a majority should rule in the . United States.
